My observation is, the order of the parameters which have been assigned to any one knob is determined by age, i.e latest change/asignment is first in the list. When the pedalboard is part of a bank and the footswitches are asigned to flip through the presets in the bank, the order seems to be the other way round I.e. if I change the name of a parameter which has been asigned to a knob, this parameter goes the bottom of the pile and the oldest parameter moves to the top. I think in both cases it would be preferable that the parameter list is sorted alphabetically. Then you can actively influence the order. For example put a number to the front of the name like “1- Output volume”. This way, the most important parameter stays at the top.
