another suggestion: it would be nice to be able to add comments in a pedalboard… kind of like comments in source code - little notes about how things work, or stuff to improve, etc…

Yep - many DAWs call this “Notes”. Often available at a “per track” level, which roughly translates to per pedalboard for MOD i suppose 
I’d like if it were just a “pedal” basically with no jacks, just a textbox you can edit, or like a sticky note that you can comment near one pedal “tweak the tone knob on this distortion for some cool mid scoop” and over here “I made the reverb deep but I use a midi expression pedal to tune it just right”
There’s already 2 plugins that do this, but none have proper lv2 versions with atom support.
This is definitely one thing I’ll personally do when we add support for atoms-via-javascript (if there’s nothing yet done by the time).
