Plugin to recreate the Mutron bass pedal

Great! I was looking for a decent AutoWah/AutoFilter like effect for a while

Hi @sanderbos

So, GxQuack is in the unstable store, if you wone check it out, enable unstable, and search for GxQuack. :sunglasses:

And, while we are on it, as a Bass player you may as well be interested in the GxHyperion, a ā€œDark Boosterā€ Fuzz pedal.

Hi Brummer,

Fantastic!
I am abroad right now, will be home in a couple of days and check it out.
Many thanks for your work!!!

Hi Brummer,
I installed GxQuack without any problems.
It is very useful for me, many many thanks!!
Below a setting I made that estimates the Mutron pedal (only 45 mins tweaking so far).
Bass used: Fender Precision with full treble.
More tweaking to follow of course.
Big smile on this side !!

P.S. is there a way I can upload this setting for others to use?

Hi @sanderbos

Glad you like it.
And of course Iā€™m eager to hear what you made with it.

Yup, the easiest way is to just share a pedallboard, which allow you to add a short sound sample as well:
http://wiki.moddevices.com/wiki/Chapter_2:_Web_interface#Sharing_your_pedalboard

This will allow others to download and try your settings.

Will do ASAP

it would be nice too if useful presets get added upstream so you donā€™t have to download the pedalboard just for 1 effectā€™s settingsā€¦

Sure, Iā€™ll gladly include presets in upstream, when I receive them. But it seems much more straight forward to me, to share MOD pedalboards with the preset, then include it upstream.
Up/Download a pedalboard is somewhat easy and could be done by anyone here, without upstream need to work on it.

Include preset into upstream files, upload new version to git, rework the .mk file, rebuild and upload a new version to the store, download the new version from store, . .

Good point. Neither is a good substitute for the other. We want it all

weā€™ve discussed this feature a bit internally

Iā€™ve heard about a preset repository for FLOSS

@brummer : havenā€™t you implemented something like that in Guitarix?

You probably mean https://musical-artifacts.com/

IIRC guitarix has an option to upload stuff there. While pedalboard sharing has similar goals, it would be really cool if you could ā€œshopā€ for and upload presets there directly from mod, so you can find presets for each individual effect, not just whole pedalboards. And devs can see which ones are very good and include them as built-in presets.
A lot of work there, but I can see some big symbiotic benefits to mod users and LV2 plugin users outside of MOD and developers too.

Hi @gianfranco

Yes, itā€™s https://api.musical-artifacts.com/guitarix-presets/

The maintainer/developer of the side is as well a member here and a MOD user, its @lfz
He provide a api which allow easy app integration of the service. Thanks @lfz
