Release 1.12.0-RC3

Hello all. This is a bugfix for the previous 1.12 release candidates.

We made some small fixes since RC2, which we want to do some final testing on before tagging the final release.
Everyone that has the 1.12-RC2 build installed, please update as soon as possible.
Those who are in the “group 1” testers group will get this upgrade in their mod-ui notification panel.

Please refer to the RC1 topic to read the changes made in 1.12:

Here’s the changelog for RC3:

  • add option to delete plugin license keys (in advanced settings, dangerous section)
  • fix removing control chain preset addressings
  • fix plugin presets save sometimes restoring with old values
  • improve web gui responsiveness when using many dynamic controls (handle all queued messages before requesting more)

Duo X specific changes:

  • allow for empty banks from device
  • fix memory issue when using specific addressings

Woot! Feels so good to have this back to quickly scroll through snapshots. However, I notice that the Multibutton to CV output state still isn’t saving to snapshots. Please don’t let that fix slip through the cracks!

I was actually wrong on this in the other thread, and its the plugin that needs to handle things a bit differently
I just made those changes, so it should be updated in the store soon too.

Hi,
I found a curious behaviour with the 1.12 RC3

Though I still can

  • add and/or delete all other plugins and save with no problem
  • add and/or delete the LFO plugin on any other pedalboard

Do you have any clue for this ? Do you have the same result on your Dwarf ?

Best,
rom

Do you have the plugin updated?
Is any of you is able to try it in a n earlier MOD OS version? Does the behaviour still happen?

Yes

Tried with 1.11, same problem

@jon you can’t reproduce it I suppose ?

another small problem here, I’ve made a Factory Reset (Factory Reset Images - MOD Wiki) with the 1.11.5.2860 to get my e-reader connect to the Dwarf via Bluetooth (asus BT500). And it works great !
After this I’ve updated to 1.12 RC3 and now the Dwarf tells me in the bluetooth settings the status : unsupported, and all the bluetooth devices I can test show no MOD Dwarf 01-00506 in the area.
Is the driver missing in this build ?

I had to do a double take on this comment because I read it as “MS-DOS”

OT: Although not there yet, I can see MOD OS 3.11 coming.

Sorry the late reply here. I still didn’t try it.
You are having it on the Dwarf, right? @zwabo do you also have it on the Dwarf?

@falkTX, any idea here? Was some part of the code left out by mistake?

yes that’s with the Dwarf.

Can I re-add this driver myself or is it build too deep inside firmware ?
Are there any other BT drivers missing ? (I only have this BT500 dongle)

Hi, yes it is possible. You just have to add the correct firmware like a WiFi dongle (I think it is explained in the wiki)

Hmm, I have no /data/firmware/ folder on the Dwarf on RC3 ! A clean-up command line in the update had wiped this folder ?

I’m unable to copy anything to the Dwarf, at firt it seams okay :

(Temp.zip contains rtl8761a_fw.bin + rtl8761b_config.bin + rtl8761b_fw.bin + rtl8761bu_config.bin + rtl8761bu_fw.bin)

But in the Dwarf I don’t see anything :

Not sure it’s a RC problem, I have not test this before ! (never had the need)
