Can't upgrade – file not found msg

Description

When trying to update the Mod, with the instructions I find on the site, I keep getting an file not found error after ejecting the Mod. I tried with linux win and mac. same result. I see the file copy dialog, eject the device, and then the mod say file not found. when i connect the mod again, there really is no file on the mounted mod.

How to reproduce

  1. I just follow the upgrade instructions, see above

It should start with the upgrade process

Additional information

Open the controller menu (hold left knob down), navigate to Info > Versions and write down here the versions.

  • release: 0.14
  • controller: (can’t look right now, I will provide later if necessary)

Also provide some information about your system if possible.

  • Operating system: I tried with each Linux, Mac and Win

0.14 had a bug regarding filenames, it cannot contain spaces…
maybe this is the case? (the browser adds " (2)" suffix in the name after a 2nd download of the same file)

also, the tar file you download is supposed to be copied as-is.
don’t extract it.

hey, thanks for the reply. it wasn’t a filename containing spaces. also I copied the tar file as is, without extracting.

anything else I could do?

Alternatively, copy the tar file to a USB stick and plug it to the MOD, hold down the left knob and left footswitch at same time and then power up the MOD while they still pressed. You can release them after 3 sec.
